There’s a new name on the downhill scene – Polygon. The Indonesian brand have replaced Morewood as frame suppliers to the Hutchinson UR (formerly United Ride) team, so you can expect to see Mick and Tracey Hannah tearing it up aboard their bikes this year, along with new signing Holly Feniak, the reigning junior world champ.

The company are currently best known for their freeride rigs, as they sponsor slopestyle stars Sam Reynolds and Yannick Granieri. But the Polygon DHX looks like a capable DH beast, complete with Fox suspension, Formula brakes, CrankBrothers/e*thirteen/Spank finishing kit, Mavic wheels and, of course, Hutchinson tyres.

This is the bike the Hutchinson UR squad will be competing on this season – the Polygon DHX. Picture from Polygon

With French racers Fabien Cousinié and Guillaume Cauvin completing the squad, and talk of the riders playing a big role in product development, it looks like there are going to be many sides to the new team… Sorry – couldn’t resist a Polygon gag!

Here they are in action, during a recent trip to company HQ in Indonesia to pick up their new bikes:
